As per activity planning, Promote Gender Equality through Local Knowledge & people’s initiative (PGELKPI) project of USS organized 3 days Participatory Action Research (PAR) Workshop for USS staffs on 11 to 13 August 2014 at USS Training Venue, Nilphamari. Supported by diakonia Bangladesh. 16 mid and field levels USS staff was participated in this event. This workshop was facilitated by Alauddin Ali, Executive Director,USS, Nilphamari and Omar faruk, Coordinator Ganogabeshona & training division, USS, Nilphamari.
At the beginning of the Workshop, all participants introduced themselves and everybody expressed their own expectations. PAR concept, PAR process, Difference in PAR and PRA, How to implement PAR process in our field activity, Group Discussion, Analysis field problem and solved by PAR process were discussed in the workshop. Besides this schedule program of the workshop, a brief discussion on USS values, code of conduct, Gender policy and Child Protection. Last day at the workshop facilitator wants to know the feelings of participants. In this discussion most of participants said that, they will must apply it own his/her personal life and community.
