Parliament of Bangladesh passed the Restoration of Vested Properties Act, 2001 on 9th April 2001. Government has set up a Parliamentary sub-committee under the Ministry of Land to repeal the Vested Property Act and restore vested properties to original owners on December 1998.

A memorandum has submitted to Azharul Islam, ADC (General) absence of DC after mass people signed.
