USS has organized a human chain and discussion as a part of ongoing Global Climate Strike because we demand climate justice for everyone supported by Diakonia at Kokoi PC High School play ground, Laxmichap union of Nilphamari district on 23rd September’2019 to aware and take initiative regarding the issue. Near about 200 participants among them students, teachers SMC member, USS staffs were participated in the program. Salma Akter GDO of PGELKPI project delivers welcome speech and said this is a part of 20-27 September’2019 climate strike. Jomil, Coordinator-Agriculture, M&E of USS discussed importance and effect of climate change in Bangladesh as well as earth resulting green house gas emission from different way. Rupali Roy student of class nine said that “Plants are our friends so we want not destroy forest and we should plant more and more”. Sima Roy student of class ten said different disaster are come like flood, draught, cold wave etc. for reason of climate change. Participants are committed to tree plantation of their homestead areas and destroy of polythene.
