Udayankur Seba Sangstha(USS) has started a new project name Supporting Human Rights Defenders Working for Women’s and Girl’s in Bangladesh jointly with News Network, Dhaka funded by European Union (EU) in Nilphamari, Kurigram and Lalmonirhat district from 1st January’2018 and it will be continuing up to last December of 2020. As a part of the project activities USS and News Network, Dhaka jointly organized Nilphamari district start-up workshop under above mention project at Nilphamari Zila Parishad hall room on 26th April’2017. Md. Shahinur Alam ADC (Revenue) was present as a chief guest in favor of Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Nilphamari district. Muhammad Ashraf Hossain Pollice Super (SP), Md. Imam Hasem DD social welfre of Nilphmari district and Shohiduzzaman Chief Executive of News Network were present as special guest in the workshop. Joynal Abedin Hero Freedom fighter and Chairman of Zila parishad was present as chair person in the start- up workshop. Alauddin Ali, Executive Director of USS played moderator role. Rafia Iqbal district women affairs officer, Sorwer Hossain, Principal, Moshiur Rahman Degree college, Md. Rois Uddin district coordinator of BRAC and public representative, civil society members of Nilphamari District were also present as invited guest. 19 Religious leader, 10 editor, 47 correspondent and 20 CSO from different upazila of Nilphamari district were present as human rights defenders whose USS will provide support regarding human rights specially women’s and girls through above mention project. Mst. Shanaz Begum Project Coordinator of PGELKPI project under USS was played responsibilities as presenter.
