Training on Reflection Action Process for Staffs

USS & Action Aid Bangladesh have been trying to create the enable environment for democratic space for the people living in poverty. They are prepared from this space to claim their rights to state and community. USS also believed that community facilitators are playing proactive role to ensure the rights of the people who living in poverty.  USS is trying to increase the capacity of Community Facilitators and others from this belief. USS has arranged and conducted capacity building training following Reflection Action Process under Action Aid Bangladesh at LRP training centre- Phulbari, Kurigram from 7th   April’2019 -11th April’2019) for staffs.  

Objective of the training:

  • To increase the perception on rights and human rights view to local and national context.
  • To increase the skill and knowledge on rights analysis through HRBA framework.
  • To increase the facilitation skill on reflection action groups and providing support to implementing action point.

 Action Aid Bangladesh team has facilitated the training session and major content of the session were: Rights and human rights and its violation process in family to state level. Power dynamics and power relation in different actors which will be contributed to the community development.  Participants have practiced eight right analyses through using participatory tools. Whole process facilitated in two dimensions- one is theoretical session and analysis in 9.00 am to 2.00 pm and second one practical session on facilitation process in reflection action process through group facilitation at 3.00 to 5.00 pm. After completing the training session participants have increased the capacity on; increasing the facilitation on reflection action process through using PRA tools, increasing the skill and knowledge on rights and human rights and its framework. Well known about the role of state for ensuring the rights to the community people. They have achieved the below competencies after participating in the training:

  • Well known about rights and human rights through participatory analysing process.
  • Increase the skill and knowledge on power and its relation to contribute to development.
  • Increase the facilitation skill of reflection action process.

Participants thank to USS and Action Aid Bangladesh for organizing the training session for their humanitarian development and it will help them to play proper role as community facilitators.
