Nilphamari district convening committee of Nari Jogajog Kendra consisting of 11 members has been formed through general meeting on 21 June’14 in USS training center, Nilphamari. 40 Female initiators were present in the meeting from different occupations, like journalist, Advocate, Development worker, elected representative, House manager, Teacher etc. Every one of them gave speech regarding acting vital role to decrease gender based violence and discrimination. Some of them thanked USS for taking such a wonderful initiative of forming Nari Jogajog Kendra. Taking everyone’s opinion, the convening committee was formed making advocate Layla Anjuman Eti as convenor and Mrs. Salma Akter as member secretary. Other members are Doulat Jahan Chobi (ex upozilla vice-chairman), Alpona Roy (advocate), Farida Begum(service holder), Israt Jahan Pollobi (reporter), Rini Sarkar (reporter), Rasheda Begum(initiator ofwomen development), Lina Dey (teacher), Anjuara Begum(house manager) and Aklima Akter(development worker).
Alauddin Ali, executive director of USS gave introductory speech to that event.
