CSO Coordination Meeting Held in Jaldhaka Upazila

To strengthening the civil society organizations a network has been formed at upazila level.  In the network there are 23 civil society organizations are involved which works as platform in the Jaldhaka upazila. The representatives of these CSOs coordinate with each other so that they may have a common understanding among them and contribute to reduce gender base violence in the society. According to the planned a coordination meeting has held in Jaldhaka project office dated on 5th February, 2015.  In the coordination meeting 26 CSO representatives were attended. The coordination meeting was chaired my Md. Alomgir Hossain Choudhory, CBO president of Teesta Gram Unnayan Sangathon, Dawabari. In the meeting last meeting minutes was reviewed and after some correction all participants approved the meeting minutes. After that CSO network reviewed their last planned progress and shared their challenges. In the challenges it was point out that the civil society members should have capacity regarding advocacy and lobby. Therefore they need more training and orientation. “ To see result based  activities it is very necessary to develop capacity of CSO members” said Mintu Islam Secretary of student aid club and member of upazila network. After discussing challenges and planned progress CSO network make quarterly plan compare to the USS planned activities.
