In celebration of International Women's Day, the Nari Jogajog Kendra organized a cycle rally and discussion session support by USS and Diakonia on 8th March 2022. Near about 200 girls from 20 institutions took part in this rally. This year's motto is, "Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow ". The rally was inaugurated by Ms. Rabeya Alim, respected Member of the Parliament of Nilphamari women seat; Mr. Khandakar Yeasir Arefin, DC Nilphamari, Mr, Mokhlesur Rahman, Superintendent of Police(SP), Nilphamari; Mr. Dewan Kamal Ahmed, Mayor of Nilphamari Pourashava; Ms. Farida Khanom, Convener of Nari Jogajog Kendra; and Mr. Alauddin Ali, Executive Director of USS, Nilphamari.
The rally traveled about 4 kilometers starting from the Shahid Minar (Martyrs' Monument) area of Nilphamari. The rally was full of colorful hand-festoons, banners, meaningful slogans and inspiring marching songs. The adolescent girls were very happy, excited, energetic and proud to join the cycle rally. The program successfully ended with everyone expressing their dream for a violation-free society. Guests were discussion regarding the International Women's Day.
