Jaldhaka upazila administration has organized quarterly meeting of Upazila Child Welfare Board meeting supported by Plan International Bangladesh and Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) at UNO conference room on 22nd September’2020. The meeting was conduction by S.M. Mahmudul Haq, Upazila social welfare Officer and member secretary of Upazila Child Welfare Board. Md. Mahbub Hasan, UNO of Jaldhaka upazila, Monoara Begum, Women Vice chairman of Jaldhaka Upazila and Plan Representatives were present in the meeting. Also Md. Jomil, Project Coordinator; Abdur Rahim, FC; Ziaur Rahman, M&E coordinator were present in the meeting. Participants were describing present child marriage situation and they want support from UNO and law enforcement department to prevent child marriage. UNO Jaldhaka upazila said I will arrange a meeting with marriage registrar to not conduct child marriage. He also said to network members & NGO representatives for inform me where and when will happen child marriage I will take initiative to prevent child marriage.
