Action Aid Bangladesh & their partner believe that village based child protection mechanism is the most important tools to child protection & their development. From this perception USS organized the orientation on village based child protection mechanism supported by Action Aid Bangladesh for village based child protection committee members. The Orientation was facilitated by Md.Kaykobad Hossain, Project Coordinator of W4CD- Project of USS.

Content of the orientation was set up based on UNCRC and Child Act 2013 considering the local context. Main content of the orientation are Child and their rights. Facilitator discussed the cluster of child rights, child right situation in local context, different types of abuse and to develop the child protection mechanisms in village level. 120 participants were participating the orientation session in proactively. After completing the orientation session they have developed their plan which is below to:
Set the Indicators of VBCPC: Indicators has set of VBCPC through participatory process. We agreed to achieve outcome following the indicators and practicing respective activities and. We think that it was very important work with us as qualitative child protectors.
USS and Action Aid Bangladesh have been working with people living in poverty. They are committed to ensure their empowerment. VBCPC are use as tools of empowerment of programme participants. VBCPC will take advocacy initiatives with upazila child welfare board and others personnel who are responsible to ensure the child protection mechanism.
