District Women Affairs Department of Nilphamari organized Begum Rokeya day celebration and Joyeeta Award celebration program supported by District Administration of Nilphamari at DC conference room of 09th December’2021. The program chaired by Md. Hafizur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Nilphamari district. Rahaya Alim, Member of Parliament (Reserved women seat) was present as chief guest of the Joyeeta Award celebration program. Md. Anisur Rahman, DD of Women Affairs Department, Nilphamari facilitated the program. Chief guest said "today’s joyeetara able to play Begum Rokeya role in future". Chairperson of the program said “Women are showing their skill now, which will play development role at family, society as well as country ". District Women Affairs Department, Nilphamari was selected to Gaetree Ray as Joyeeta for her important social development initiative and as recognition she received Joyeeta Award along with a crest.
Hatibandha upazila administration and Women Affairs office jointly organized the function, Joyeeta Onneshone Bangladesh, at the conference hall room of Hatibandha Upazilla on 09 December, 2021. The Program is conduction by Purobi Rani, Upazila Women Affairs Officer of Hatibandha. This Program is chaired by Md. Mahbub Hasan, UNO of Hatibandha upazila. Md.Abdul Wahed Bahadur, Upazilla Parishad Chairman present as a chief guest. Upazila women vice chairman, upazila vice chairman, Social Welfare Officer, RMO, Agriculture Officer and USS Representative is also present in the Program. The award is given in different categories including Social development. Gaetree Ray gets the award for reorganization of the field and social development. The Award, certificate and presentation receive of USS representative Mahfuja Warashi in fovour of Gaetree Ray .
Gaitree Rani Roy has involved with social activities under girls group through Girl Power Project of Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS), Nilphamari supported by Plan International Bangladesh on 2011. She identified girls problems like Child marriage, women violence, sexual harassment, rape etc. analysis of problems and find out solutions through participatory process. She has worked as volunteer to prevent social violence and awareness raising to the peoples. Gaitree has taken Karate training, self defense training, leadership training, gender equality training under Girl Power Project supported by USS Nilphamari for 6 month. As a result she made of a skill karate trainer. She is conducting karate training at different educational institute for girls, different NGOs for right holders and staffs. She is a familiar karate trainer now. She has played important role to prevent child marriage, violence against women, save of girls from sexual violence. She has get award as a successful inspiration to prevent early marriage and as fighting youth women from USS Girl Power Project on 2014.
Her achievements:
• 34 child marriage has stopped with the help of Community Based Child Protection Committee, Union Parished and union child & youth network
•Self defense (Karate) training provided to 2700 girls and young women under different organization and own initiative

• List down marriage probable 50 girls and successful counseling with their guardian to prevent child marriage.
• 17 drop out student enrolled in school
• Life skill training provide to 220 girls at secondary education institute
•Leadership training provide to 95 students at secondary education institute and college
•List down of children who were engage in child labor and her facilitation those family included in social protection program after advocating and influencing local government elected representative.
•Yard meeting conduct with mother group regarding child protection issues.
• 120 facial mask distribute (free of cost) to poor people considering COVID-19
Achieved awards:
• Achieved "Gold Medal" from Bongabandhu Karate tournament on 2020
• Gaetree has received Nasrim Memory Award’2020 from ActionAid Bangladesh.
