USS has celebrated Begum Rokeya day and International Day for the Elimination of the Violence Against Women as a part of 16 days campaign with the theme of "Orange the World:End Violence against Women Now’’ supported by Plan International Bangladesh at Hatibandha upazila jointly with upazila administration where UNO and other government officials took part of discussion session. Besides, with the facilitation of USS, Sponsorship child forum and youth network arrange human chain, rally and discussion session supported by Plan International Bangladesh at Borokhata union of Hatibandha upazila and Shemulbari union of Jaldhaka upazila on 09th December’2021.
Md. Hamidul Haque, chairman of Shemulbari union parished was present as chief guest and Khirod Chandra, union parished secretary of Shemulbari union was also present as chaired in the program. Md. Jahad Ali, principal of Shemulbari Bangabandhu Government Degree College was present as special guest. They have discussed regarding life history of Begum Rokeya and women and child violence situation which are barrier of women empowerment. We should work against barrier of women empowerment.
