Action Aid Bangladesh and its partners are trying to ensure the child rights and their development through Human Rights Based (HRBA) Approach .USS are implementing various types of intervention to ensure the child rights; one of them is “The Celebration of the National mourning day and the 45th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Muzibur Rahman, the first president of Bangladesh and the architect of our nation. Bangladesh government has taken different types of activities and events linked with the government USS organized the Art completion among the sponsor children .
Objectives of the event are below to;
Description of the Event: Considering the COVID-19 situation USS celebrated the event with maintaining the social distance and rules of health. 200 sponsor children have participated the events from home and they drew picture nicely. USS collected the drawn pictures from door to door and preserved it in office. After collecting the pictures, USS selected 12 participants for rewarding. Among the participants there are 06 for Borovita and 06 for Shimulbari unions. After finalizing the selected participants were rewarded. Local government and others civil society organization has attended the prize distribution ceremony. Children were very happy to receive the rewards from invited guests.

My father didn’t purchase the water pot but I receive it from USS its very helpful to me for bringing the water and its need to take Tiffin in schools – Shapla (BD 05200599) Nowdabose SBK- Borovita union.
I participated in the drawing competition and got a color pencil box as a reward. Now I will be able to draw more beautifully. My father and mother are very happy to see it……. Happy ( BD # 05201295) Sonai kazi SBK- Shi,ulbari union –Phulbari upazila under Kurigram distrct/.
Reflection/ output of the events:
USS is trying to create the democratic space for child development through increasing their participation & development. Action Aid Bangladesh is continuing their support to implement the respective activities. One of them is celebrating the national morning day. USS is grateful to honorable guests and others to provide their suggestion and recommendations for improvement in future.
