Symposium Held on Gender Responsive Quality Primary Education Scenario in Bangladesh

Udayankur Seba Sangstgha(USS) and seven partner organization of Action Aid Bangladesh organized a National symposium on Gender responsive quality primary education scenario in Bangladesh which was held  on 26 December 2016 at CIRDAP auditorium Dhaka .There are 200 participants were present from the 7 districts. Mr.Golam Mostafa, honorable Member of Parliament, Nilphamari-3 and member of education affair parliamentarian standing committee were present as a chief guest in the program. The program is inaugurated through welcome speech of Mr. Alauddin Ali Executive Director of USS.  Mr.Azadul Haque Pramanik, convener of social audit team, Nilphamri present a Social audit report on ‘‘Quality primary education view to root level “in the symposium. Then started the open discussion. In the open discussion the participants are providing their opinion on education management and exam system of the government. The participant also mentions that to ensure the quality education through ensuring accountable governance. Mr.Tariq Ahsan, Professor, Department of IRR ,Dhaka University, said that‘‘ I have found some picture in this report from root level such as teacher student ratio in primary school , situation of infrastructure of primary schools, qualification & experience of teacher , roles and responsibility School Management Committee with related of school. It’s may be simple initiative but   I also agree the recommendation which sitting in the report to ensure the quality primary education”. Besides Mr. Monzur Ahmed teacher, BARC University, Dhaka, Mr. Kazi Faruk Ahmed, Ex president of non-government teacher association of Bangladesh, gave their valuable speech. The open discussion was conducted by Haymonti Sarkar, Executive Director, PUAMDO, Joypurhat.
