Seeds of Survival (SOS) project has been introduced for sustainable economic development of rural women, men and youths through developing food, nutrition and seed security implemented by Udayankur Seba Sangstha (USS) with the support of USC Canada at Lakshmichap and polashbari union in Nilphamari District. Sequentially a project introduction meeting has been organised at Polashbari Poroshmoni High School at 3:00 pm on 12 July, 2015. Agriculturalist Golam Md. Idris, Deputy Director, Agricultural Expansion Department, Nilphamari was present as chief guest in the meeting. Agriculturalist Md. Tanvir Ahammed Sarkar, Upazilla Agricultural Expansion officer, Nilphamari Sadar, Mr. Alauddin Ali, Executive Director, USS and Moulana Akbar Ali, Head Master, Polashbari Poroshmoni High School, Nilphamari were present as special guests in the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Babu Topon Kumar Roy, Chairman, Polashbari Union. Project focal person Mr. Abdul Kuddus Sarkar, USS, Nilphamari presented the project description. A total about 150 persons including teachers, guardians, right holders, NGO personnel, related representatives from government organizations, media representatives, workers organization and commercial organization were present at that program.
