USS and Pallisree jointly arrange a human chain at Chourongir Mor of Nilphamari district town supported by Manusher Janno Foundation on 3rd September’ 2019 from 10:00 to 11:15 am to stop rape of women and children and ensure justice. A discussion session has conducted during human chain where present Rafia Iqbal, DD of women affairs department , Nilphamari; Sorwer manik, Ex-principal of Moshiur Rahman degree college, Nilphamari; Asaduzzaman, Area coordinator of TIB Nilphamari; Salma Akter, Gender Development Officer of USS; Farida Khanom, Convenor of Nari Jogajok Kendra Nilphamari; Motia Begum Mukta, Nilphamari district coordinator of pallisree; Alpona Roy, Advocate of district joj court Nilphamari, Mizanur Rahman Litu, Chairperson of WE CAN Nilphamari district alliance. Situation of rape, need to mentality change of men, initiative have to taken to protect women & girls from rape, initiative should taken from home, society and country etc. has discussed in the event. Neat about 250 peoples were present in the event. Besides, media representative, teachers, NGOs representative, respective right holders, civil society representative, USS staffs and Pallisree staffs were present in the event.
