USS has arranged a debate competition on the theme of “awareness is major to prevention of child marriage not law.” under Gender Equality through Peoples Initiative (GEPI) Project supported by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) at Khokshabari Moniruddin High School on 08 December 2019. The program was started display of karate team of the School.
Objectives of the program:
â— To increasing knowledge about harmful side of child marriage.
â—To grow mentality among students regarding positive present intellect and logic
â— Influence to students to reads different data based book.
â— Make capable of the Students to speech of clear language.
Ruma Sultana, Program coordinator of Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) was present as guest in the program. The program was chaired by Md. Kartik Chondro Roy, Head teacher of Khokshabari Moniruddin High School, Sohana Akter, Student of Khokshabari Moniruddin High School was introducing the program. Jharna Rani Roy, Project coordinator of GEPI project of USS was delivered welcome speech and explained objectives of the program. Md. Robindronath Roy, Assistant head teacher of Khokshabari Moniruddin High School was present as moderator. All the debaters participated with their strong logic. The debaters were presented real example about the determined topic. The two groups tried by showing their logic in that debating competition. There were present almost 250 students in the program. All audiences enjoyed the debate competition. Finally the behalf group won that competition. Isita Roy is a student of class eight who was selected as champion speaker from behalf group. After debate competition judge and audience students gave opinion regarding the debate. All students and teachers were liked this debate competition and thanks to USS for this arrange. Then the Prizes were given to the debaters of the both groups and extra pries was given to the champion speaker and the trophy was given to the winner group. At last program president Md. Kartik Chondro Roy was thanked to USS and declared the end of the debate competition.
