A debate competition was organized by PGELKPI of USS, Nilphamari for secondary level students in Kukradanga High School on 29th August 2017 supported by Diakonia. Two teams, each consisting 3 debaters, performed their arts of logic on the stage. 200 students were present in the gallery of Kukradanga High School, Khokshabari , Nilphamari Sadar Upazila.
The subject of the debate was – “Raising awareness is the key to stop Violence against Women, not just implementing laws.”
Md. Mahiuddin, Head Teacher, Kukradanga High School was present as Moderator of the debate. Md. Abul kalam, Assistant Teacher, Kukradanga High School , Babul Kishor, Assistant Teacher, Kukradangga Primary School and Kuddus Sarkar, Coordinator M&E, USS were in the judge panel. Alauddin Ali, Executive Director of USS, Md. Kaykobad, Project Coordinator were present at the program. Md. Khatib Uddin, Chairman of the school management committee, attended the event to encourage students.
Besides, Shahnaz Begum, Project Coordinator and Kallani Ray, Field Animator of PGELKPI project of USS also attended the program.
