The 16 days campaign will observe implementing different activities from 25th November’2019 to 10th December’2019. Women network has organized human chain and discussion session to celebration of Orange the World as a part of 16 day campaign at Chourongir Mor, Nilphamari town supported by USS and Diakonia on 25th November’2019 to stop violence against women. The theme of the day Generation Equality Stands against Rape. Mst. Farida Khanom convenor of women network, Nilphamari; Shahnaz Begum, Project Coordinator of PGELKPI project; Jomil , Coordinator-Agriculture, Monitoring and Evaluation of USS; Salma Akter, Gender Development Officer of USS and Abdul Kuddus Sarker Coordinator of USS were present of the program. Besides Student and teachers of Collectorate Public School & College and Adorsho High School, Reporters, Civil society representatives, women network members were also participated in the event. Near about 250 peoples were present. Farida Khanom, Shahnaz Begum, Jomil, Salma Akter, representative of different organization and students were taken part of discussion regarding violence against women and girls. Shimu Akter student of class nine said WE CAN to prevent and resolve violence against women and girls. Farida Khanom, Convenor of women network said we will prevent and stands any kind of violence against women, we will not afraid and will not move backward in case of prevent and stop violence. She also said that we want not a single woman as victim of violence and we want not a single man as rapist in the community and society. Finally Convenor thanked to all participant to join in the human chain and discussion session about to end of the program.
