Upazila child marriage prevention committee meeting has conducted at upazila hall room, Jaldhaka on 29 August’2023. The meeting has conducted by upazila women affairs department supported by Plan International Bangladesh and USS where Moynul Islam, UNO of Jaldhaka upazila was chaired. Monoara Begum, upazila women vice chairman; Gola Azam (Alich), upazila vice chairman; Purobi Rani Roy, upazila women affairs officer; Mushfiq Rahman, Assistant upazila education officer; Union parished chairman’s of Jaldhaka upazila and other members of the committee were present in the meeting. Programme Coordibnator, M&E Coordinator, Field Coordinator and Technical Officer of USS were present in the meeting.
Objective of the meeting:
Many of participants took part in discussion session and they acknowledge that child marriage is a disease in society and we have to prevent child marriage. Upazila Women Affairs Officer also said Union children marriage committee will be more activated. UNO said information, communication system will develop and we will prevent child marriage increasing awareness raising program and continued of punishment initiative. UNO provided vote of thanks to participants for active participation.
