Community Based Child Protection Mechanism Training Held at Shimulmari UP, Jaldhaka Upazila

A day long CBCPM Training held at Shimulmari union of Jaldhaka upazila dated on 22nd January, 2016 in UP hall room organized by USS and supported by Plan International Bangladesh. Child organization member of Ghughumari village attended in the training. What is community based child protection, rights of the children, discrimination of the children, how to protection the children and its mechanism during vulnerable situation, how to create child friendly environment topics were discussed in the training. The participants participated in the big groups, small groups and find out how to create child friendly environment in the community. They also find out the role and responsibilities as well associate organizations/institutions for help. “I am very much enriched to receive community based child protection and its mechanism training. The steps were unknown to me and I did not feel interest. Now I understand and besides my education I will work for the children from my end, said Shadekul Islam, during sharing feelings at the end of the training. The training was facilitated by Pobon Malo, Project Coordinator, USS, Jaldhaka, Rina Khanom, CAR-Training while Shirin Akter, president of Shimulbari Bondhu Shishu froum was present as co-facilitator.  25 children were present in the training among them girls were 12 and boys were 13. “I am getting enough confident while playing a co-facilitators role. This is how I will develop myself and my dream will be full fill, said Shirin Akter, who played a co-facilitators role in the training.
