PVS Workshop Held

80 Young farmers (58 female and 22 male) of Laxmichap and Polashbari union of Nilphamari district participated in a day long workshop on Participatory Variety Selection (PVS) in 4 batches arranged by USS, Nilphamari under Seeds of Survival (SoS) project supported by USC Canada. The workshops were held at Janglipara Jubadal and Gondheyapara Jubadal  Laxmichap union and Kamarpara Jubadal and Khalishapocha master para Jubadal in Palashbari Union on 17, 18, 20 & 21 of August 2016. Through this workshop, the participant farmers would be able to find out different local varieties of vegetables through cultivating them in their own field. They would be able to select the vegetables that are suitable for specific session in an environmentally friendly way and their efficiency in variety selection would be increased and also they could expand the cultivation of suitable variety in their field as per need. They have selected for implementing two varieties- Tomato (Manik) and  Green pea ( Local)  10 Farmers will implement in the field.
