The Annual meeting of Community Dhan Bank No 1 and 3 of Lakhmichap Union was held with a festive feel on December 27, 2017. Meeting was started through singing of national anthem. The venue for the meet up was No 3 Dhan Bank of Lakhmichap, Nilphamari.Organized by Dhan Banks and supported by PGELKPI project of USS and Diakonia.
About 500 members of those Dhan Banks and about 90 members of adolescent group and forum attended this festive program.
Abuzar Rahman, the chairman of Nilphamari Sadar Upazila, Aminur Rahman, the chairman of Lakshmichap Union and Alauddin Ali, the Executive Director of USS were present at the event. Executive members of Community Dhan Bank and other reputed persons of the locality also attended the program.
Radhakanto Roy, the president of the Community Dhanbank association, presided over the annual meeting.
Mukti Rani Roy and Monnujan Begum cashier of Dhan bank 3 & 1 was presented yearly income and expenditure report of two Dhan Banks. They also discussed the year plan of the coming year. There were open discussions over the activities.
The respected guest praised the activities of the Dhan Banks. They also promised to be with the Dhan Banks in future and provide necessary supports.
At the end of the program, members of adolescent forum presented the banner of their campaign on “Fire and Security Management.” Kalidas Roy, on behalf of the adolescent forum, expressed their views on raising awareness. The brave movement of the adolescent forum was highly praised by the upazila chairman and others..
